Complete blood count

Haemoglobin below 12 in women or 13 in men suggests anaemia. A raised white cell count often means infection; very low platelets in fever raise concern for dengue.

Sugar and fat

HbA1c reflects three months of glucose control; under 6.5% is the diabetes threshold. For LDL cholesterol, lower is better — under 100 for most, under 70 if you have heart disease.

Kidney and liver

Creatinine and eGFR show kidney filtering; ALT and AST rise with liver strain, often from fatty liver.

The takeaway

Never interpret a single value alone. Bring the whole report and we will walk through it together.
